Our process is split into three categories; research, build, and management.
Step 1: Research
Before any campaign is built, our team utilizes several tools such as Google Keyword Planner, SEM Rush, Webmaster Tools or any legacy ad campaigns that may provide valuable information. We curate a list of keywords, then include them in an excel spreadsheet that is sent for your approval later in the process.
Based on the keyword research conducted earlier in our process, we will create ROI projections in order to help set benchmarks for all ad campaigns. This helps us better understand what results can be expected in a simulated environment. We use Google Keyword Planner in order to gather the historical data used in these projections.
Step 2: Build
The three most common PPC platforms that we use to build ad campaigns are Google AdWords (Google Search, Search Partners, Display Network), Bing (Bing/Yahoo), and Facebook (Facebook/Instagram).
Each campaign may take between 1-3 business days for us to build, depending on our availability and the scope of work. Once we are finished, you’ll receive a document containing all keywords, ad copy, and campaign features. We then make any requested changes and wait for your final approval before launching.
In this step of the process, we work to install all necessary tracking codes (if they are not already installed). We typically use Google Analytics tracking since it is free and integrates will nearly every tool required to tracking campaign performance.
If your client does not have analytics installed, our team can assist in installing a Google Analytics.
ga(‘create’, ‘UA-xxxxxxxx-x’, ‘auto’);
If your client already has a Google Analytics tracking code installed, we typically ask for administrative access at the property level. learn more
Once this step is finished, we can integrate their website or app analytics into the live reporting dashboard.
We will install conversion tracking (if it is not already installed) and link your analytics account to the live ad campaigns. This typically involves installing a Google Tag Manager code, which allows us to create all necessary event tracking and pixel installation.
<!– Google Tag Manager –>
new Date().getTime(),event:’gtm.js’});var f=d.getElementsByTagName(s),
<!– End Google Tag Manager –>
In addition to event tracking installation, we will also need administrative access to your client’s Google Analytics account at the property level. learn more
Step 3: Management
Our team will optimize each of your clients’ live campaigns in order to reach the agreed upon benchmark goals. Optimization becomes the bulk of our work load once a campaign is launched, and your team will have access to all live campaigns in order to view our campaign changes. On any given month, we may make anywhere from 100 to 1,000 changes to a campaign in order to improve results month-over-month.
Each of our team members is certified by Google and Bing. We do not use any robots, automation software, or outsourced employment/contractors to handle the monthly management of your client’s ad campaign.
All work is conducted by our team in our San Francisco Bay Area HQ.
